Sip & Support: featuring Texas Land Conservancy and Mighty Oaks Warrior Program

sip&support-02-02.jpg

What’s better than a fun weekend out at the distillery, sipping delicious drinks and enjoying the fab fare from our kitchen? Supporting a couple fine local philanthropic efforts at the same time! Saturday, August 24 we’re hosting Sip & Support, a dual-charity event honoring two of our favorites: the Texas Land Conservancy and Mighty Oaks Warrior Program.

Drink and food specials throughout the property will afford our guests the ability to direct their dollars to either or both of these organizations while we host representatives from the orgs all day.

Proceeds from our mocktail: The Bluebonnet, and specialty cocktail: The Texas Bluebonnet, will benefit the Texas Land Conservancy, our August charity partner, in increments of $1, $3, and $5 as determined by each guest when they order their drinks.Plus, our resident pit master Scott Fogle will join forces with Steven Rossler of Blue Cord BBQ to raise funds for the Mighty Oaks Warrior Project, our September charity partner.

Scott and Steven will be serving up a beautiful featured dish: a “Caveman” seared tri-tip steak with creamy horseradish sauce, with fresh arugula salad with smoked honey pecans and feta cheese, served with Scott’s famous smashed potatoes on the side. This $30 dish’s proceeds will be donated to Mighty Oaks Foundation.

We’ll also have live music all afternoon, as is the Treaty Oak weekend way! Come out and sip and support two awesome organizations with us this Saturday.
