ABOUT

Echos of the High Plains

Dickie moved to Austin in 1978 with a banjo and guitar . . . 150 songs, eight albums, 1,000 shows and a European tour later he is just getting started . . .

"It all boils down to being a spiritual journey,” he pronounces. That journey has led to the creaton of his finest work to date, "Shadetree," a pleasant reflection of his gentle, kind-hearted nature.

Dickie Lee is currently touring in support of this exceptional album.

Dickie Lee Erwin hails from the fertile musical soil of Hobbs, New Mexico, just across the Texas line; an area that produced the likes of Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly, Waylon Jennings, Mac Davis, Gary P. Nunn, Sonny Throckmorton and the legendary Norman Petty Studio. Dickie Lee’s roots are authentic.

With influences from Merle Haggard to the Moody Blues and John Prine to Van Morrison, Erwin draws inspiration from many genres, creating a truly unique brand.
